Where we started
1953-The Beginning
Betty "Granny" and Albert acquired the farm from Albert’s father in 1953. Granny was a skilled producer and seller of fresh produce, butter, and buttermilk. She gained local fame for her award-winning Peach Pineapple Jam, which earned her first place at the County Fair. Granny passed her wisdom and knowledge to her family.
Where we are now
Granny's Legacy
In 1985, Geraldine Brown, along with her husband Daniel and son Danny, moved back home with Granny, building a home and continuing farming to support their family. Granny's legacy lives on at The Lord Is My Shepherd farm, where her family continues to grow vegetables, raise beef, and produce sustainable goods. Her grandson Danny, who was very close to her, carries on her memory by embracing the farm life she taught him and living off the land.
